Seniors that finished in January and plan to walk at Commencement, must attend the rehearsal as well.
Commencement is an important event for all students, family and the Eastpointe community. We are very proud of all our seniors hard work AND the hard work of their family to get them to this point. This event starts at 7:00pm. It is very important that all guests arrive on time. Once the ceremony begins, guests will not be allowed to enter and will miss seeing the graduates march into the arena.
Ticket Info: All graduating seniors will receive 12 commencement tickets.
Cap and Gown distribution information will be announced in March.
Event Info: Seniors must be in their cap and gown and arrive to the Expo Center by 6:00pm. Seniors will be guided to an auxiliary gym. Family members will be allowed to enter the Expo center.
The event lasts approximately 2 hours. There will be student speeches, music, etc. Out of fairness to all of the seniors and speakers,, we ask that you do not leave until the end of the ceremony. No balloons, flowers or noise makers are allowed in the gym. We will have a photographer on site to take pictures of the graduates as they receive their diplomas. These pictures will be available 2 weeks after the ceremony. Guests can not come down and block aisles to take pictures of their graduates. Please be mindful of people around you. We know you are excited for your graduate, but if you stand and take pictures, you are blocking the view of other people.
